At Rungis, 1,200 companies sell fresh and processed food products, flowers and plants. Its 234 hectares of roofs represent a potential installation of 150MWp.
With no aluminum frame or glass, Luxsiol is 6 times lighter than a standard panel. This means it can be installed on any type of roof structure (flat roof, steel deck, corrugated iron), without having to reinforce existing building structures. Many roofs cannot be fitted with solar systems because conventional photovoltaic panels are too heavy for existing industrial or commercial buildings.
